Ronnie Cabral is a Commercial Insurance Specialist at Inszone Insurance Services. As a former Wholesale Cannabis Insurance Broker, most of his early efforts were focused on teaching Cannabis Continued Education classes to other insurance professionals. Primarily his focus was to educate carrier underwriters and retail brokers on how the plant-touching side of the cannabis industry worked, so they would know how to properly insure their clients. In 2017, Ronnie hosted the FIRST-EVER Cannabis CE class held in an actual dispensary which was fully attended and by many who had never set foot in a cannabis business before.
After much success, he left the insurance industry in 2018 to oversee operations full-time at a licensed cannabis extraction facility that he’d previously helped create in 2016. After a 4-year run and a successful exit, he has returned to insurance and cannabis risk management now having added the real-world experience of being a cannabis business owner and operator.
“Being in the Cannabis Industry, both as someone who has provided insurance to others and one who has needed the same insurance for myself, has given me a unique and broad perspective. I know firsthand the challenges that can arise when you’re running a cannabis business. However, your insurance doesn’t have to be one of them.”, said Ronnie.
On his off time, Ronnie enjoys teaching martial arts and performing up-close magic.
